Programme
A global dimension
There
is now widespread recognition that a global dimension is
essential in any curriculum that is to prepare young people
for the twenty-first century. This applies not only to what
goes on in schools but also to the education and training
of teachers.
The second annual conference of the Global Teacher Project
aims to begin work on a national strategy to embed the global
dimension in ITET. Delegates will not only have the opportunity
to share existing practice and explore issues, but will
contribute directly to this strategy.

this conference is for
This
conference is for those who:
- work
in Initial Teacher Education and Training (ITET)
- have

in ITET
Global

perspectives in education.

(GTP) of the World Studies Trust. The Project is a national
initiative working with university tutors, their students,
and mentors in schools to develop a global dimension in
the curriculum. As part of its work GTP encourages exploration
of both Southern and Black perspectives. The Project is
also interested in developing a network of tutors and teachers
in the UK committed to global education.
The
World Studies Trust
The
Global Teacher Project is an initiative of the World Studies
